Pamoja means “All together” in Swahili, highlighting that during the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone should come together to combat the virus.
Our short COVID-19 edutainment spots in English and Swahili have been broadcasted on the free-to-air national CitizenTV and Akili Kids! Network TV channels and aired on Citizen Radio, the Swahili ‘Password’-campaign radio channel. We have been broadcasting our spots 12 times per day in the last 3 months. According to the GeoPoll survey, each TV spot has been watched by about 1.3 million viewers and we are reaching around 5.3 million children (under 14 years) and 4.2 million adults each week with our TV and radio campaign combined.
